Please make sure the colors are correct as a few people have still messed up the colors despite the references given. Pierre's pants are NOT brown, but rather black despite the fact that his pants are brown in one picture. Andre's outfit is all blue, his pants, vest, and beret all match. Also, Pierre's glasses are smaller ROUND spectacles, no other shape. All of these details are VERY important to the characters, so please make sure they are correct and in line with the references given below.

I love my characters as if they were my babies. May sound ridiculous to many, but I know I'm not the only character creator to feel that way. So here are some character guidelines and specifications to keep in mind when drawing them. It would be cool if you do not copy my style and draw them completely in your own best style. Like how you usually do your human characters, please do Pierre and André in the cutest and best of your human character styles if you were to draw them.
This image here of Pierre and André with their parents is the latest finished Pierre and André drawing that I have done. You can see here how different they look from my earlier stuff from the links above. They have more of a stout appearance now. And then I have another more resent picture of Just Pierre (without Andre) with wife and children. I show that one because I'm quite happy with the way Pierre came out.
Check out the rest of my images, if these are not enough, on my DeviantArt page. [link]
If you are interested, please check out the detailed back story I have written about them if you think that will help in your thoughts and opinions of the characters.

Here are the referenced facts to use in drawing my characters to keep in mind:
Pierre and André are French brothers and slapstick comedians and entertainers. They are about a year apart and in their early 30s. André is the younger of the two and is Pierre's sidekick. They love classic slapstick comedy and favor the pie in the face gag and that is what they are best known for.
The two Frenchmen are both short in stature with André being shorter. Pierre is 5' 4" and André is 4' 8". Pierre actually isn't tall, just taller than André. They are both little guys. I know it looks like they are tall in stature in that one picture above because I used to draw them with longer legs, but that was just an error on my part before they developed to what they are today. They are actually both shorter in stature than they appear in my older drawings. They are also slim and slender, Pierre is more fit and in shape while André is just plain skinny and stubby looking.
Pierre doesn't have long hair, a few people who have drawn him for me have drawn him that way for some reason. But his hair is actually short, fluffy, and curly, not seen below his ears. It grows pretty much out and up, not down. André is bald, so he has no hair at all. They both wear berets as you can see in the pictures, yet still see Pierre's hair on the sides and back. His hair color is brown/auburn. Please make sure Pierre doesn't come out looking like Weird Al Yankovic, that sometimes happens. Pierre has his own unique adorable look.
For the best example that someone else has done of him, check out this Deviation by *jbwarner86.

He screwed up the colors on the pants and shoes, so pay no attention to that. But look at how he did Pierre's hair, that is the best rendition of Pierre's hair I have ever seen. And the balance in features between the bow tie, glasses, hair, and beret are just spot on perfect. He nailed Pierre's whole look beautifully. So if you can make sure it's something along those lines (in your own best style of course), that would be great.
Their outfits are important, as that is a part of who they are visually, and the colors are specific. Pierre wears a non-frilled white tux shirt with the black studded buttons and cuff links (obviously this is a long sleeved shirt) and a black bow tie. The shape and size of the bow tie are important, it's probably a two and a half inch size butterfly bow tie. You can see how the size and shape contrasts and balances to the rest of the features in all the examples given. He's got black trousers (not brown like some of my older drawings show), black beret, brown vest sweater (remember this is a VEST sweater, it has no sleeves leaving his shirt sleeves exposed, also please observe the colors of the sweater and edges for the arms and neck portions as I have specified in my pictures), and very shiny black shoes. Pierre also has round spectacles as you can see and a thin (not at all bushy) Frenchman's mustache. Pierre's black beret matches his black bow tie and black trousers and shoes. (I know Pierre has brown pants in that one picture, that was before I changed it, you can see Pierre's black pants in the picture he's holding the pies behind Andre). Don't forget Pierre's glasses, these are very important to his look. They are small round spectacles, no other shape, and have a bit of elegance to the look.
André has a blue three-piece suit, but hardly wears the jacket. He can usually be seen with his blue trousers and vest (unlike Pierre's this is a suit vest with black buttons and not a vest sweater, and just like Pierre's, there are no sleeves on this sweater showing the full sleeves of his shirt), a white shirt with long sleeves, blue and dark brown striped wide necktie, and blue beret that match his blue suit (the vest and trousers). Just like Pierre, he's got very shiny black shoes. Visually these guys look pretty spiffy and sharp.
If I'm not having you do a specific picture of these two doing something in particular, just assume that they are both standing next to each other on stage during a comedy act or something. Pierre on the left (to André's right) and André on the right (to Pierre's left), both holding whipped cream pies (make sure they are WHIPPED CREAM and NOT upper crust pies) in a proper pie tin with some brown pie crust showing on the edge (if that's not too much detail for the pies, otherwise just draw the pies how you want, as long as they are whipped cream). See how I drew the pies in my pictures as reference. Also, include a cherry on top of each pie. Have Pierre holding a pie with his right hand and André holding a pie with his left hand (Pierre is actually right handed and André is left handed). Have both of them smiling happily, they both love their comedy and the whole pie gig.
The major thing I want to keep in mind here is they are supposed to be very cute and child and family friendly looking cartoon characters, so make sure they have a very cute appearance in the best of your cutest cartoon style. That is always the image I like to see with these characters and your drawing style looks very cute, so if you could keep that theme with Pierre and André that would be cool. Also, HAVE FUN WITH THEM. LOL. All my other friends who have tried their hand at drawing them all told me they had a blast with it. After 16 years of character developments, I tried making them as fun, funny, and cute as possible.
So there you have it. Let me know if you need more info or are unsure of anything and in need of clarification.

I sure have put a lot of time into their development for sure, the last sixteen years, or twenty three years if you count the Jake character that eventually morphed into the Pierre character.

Propel, propel, propel your craft, placidly along the liquid solution. Ecstatically, ecstatically, ecstatically, ecstatically...existence is but an illusion!!!!!!!!
Yeah, please do one for Jake. You should write up a whole back story as well like what I have. I'd certainly love to read it. I think everyone should have character references and back stories written up for their characters.
